Is my database data secure?
Yes. SqlMax connects directly from your Mac to your database. We do not proxy connections, and we never see or store your data on our servers. Passwords are stored in your Mac's Keychain.
Which databases are supported?
Currently, we support MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite. Postgres support is on our roadmap for the next major version.
Do I need to pay for AI features separately?
You need to provide your own API key (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) to use the AI features. This ensures you control your usage and costs directly with the provider.
Does SqlMax work on Intel Macs?
SqlMax is optimized for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) but runs beautifully on Intel Macs running macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later.
